First trip out in '13

Me and a bud hit the road in search of "tons of brookies" acording to an old map given to my friend made by an Indian.    The stream was well protected and beautiful. My sorry wet fishing skills sunk me, I usually sight fish, and have always felt awkward with a sunk fly. oh well. next time

 The ice on the water can change the flows slightly, adding or moving the target change of pace zones. Here it comes downstream towards me, and even though I'm standing in the deeper channel, the water is leaning to my right. I wonder if this brings up less disturbed silt/sand & food for the trout
