Nymphin it up

More like phuckin it up. My nymph skills need work. ahhhh, maybe the fish won't give a shit if I used black tube instead of black wire, or that I couldn't find my black seal dub and went with a Mohair copper mix, Oh well

  1. Last winter we got off easy with a mild winter, and this year seems to be the same way. My nymphs are terrible, but they did work last February, after all its a tiny aquatic bug we are imitating not landing the Mars rover. They will work, nice job.

  2. Thanks Savage... I saw those patterns recently on North Country angler. They looked like an easy tie. I know for sure this year I'm going to definitely be getting some new barbless hooks at the fly fishing show. Maybe I'll get a chance to try these out next weekend. TL

  3. Hi Nate!

I'm sure these nymphs will do the trick! Usually we as fly tiers are more demanding when it comes to our flies than the trout are. If you come by some Gamakatsu C12BM at the fly fishing show this weekend please give me a holler! I would really appreciate that. Keep on tying!

    1. Thank you for the comment Mats. I go to the Marlborough Massachusetts Show next weekend. I will definitely keep an eye open for you. I can't wait for the show it's something I look forward to every year. I got 3 fly fishing addicts riding up with me this year too. It should be pretty fun. Tight lines

    2. Sounds wonderful! Sorry I can't be there with you guys. Although I lived in the US for a couple of decades ago. Close to the Catskills. Now I have to make the best of the situation here in Sweden. We have lovely trout waters here too and this year I really want to present some newly tied flies for them for them to judge. The trout is the final judge about the flies you present, either they take them or not and that's what really makes it so fun to fly fish. Have a lovely weekend with your buddies!

Friendly greetings from a cold and pretty harsh place on earth,
